–We will be discussing this in class. Please do your own outside research in order to participate in class discussion. - Spell Review
–All of you should have an adequate “little black book” of spells by this point in your magical education, therefore YOU, yes YOU will be leading discussion with your peers on spells that you feel are necessary to these professions. I, of course, will step in where necessary for further information and corrections, however; you should have a firm handle on these skills already. - Responsibilities of Aurors/Magical Law Enforcement
–What do you feel are the responsibilities of these professions? We’ll be discussing in class the “obvious” responsibilities, as well as those “hidden” tasks and jobs that you may not be aware exist. These jobs may seen glamorous but they are quite the opposite.
Following each section you will be given a writing prompt that will be as follows:
1. Name 2 important historical facts about Aurors/Magical Law Enforcement and discuss why you think they are of benefit to your future career in these areas.
2. Let us say that you have just finished a mission for the Ministry of magic in which you detained a Dark Wizard by choosing the adequate spells. Reports are always filed following such occasions, so please write a general summary of which spells were used in this duel and how you completed your task.
3. What responsibilities do you find overwhelming about these professions? Has learning about the many responsibilities asked of you in these professions skewed your feelings about going into this field?
Note: All writing assignments must be no less than 1 paragraph and no more than 3.
